A woman's world...

Monday, March 8th, 2010

A woman wasn't a person until 1917. Almost 100 years later, women are still fighting for equality at home, at work and in public office. Join us in celebrating International Women's Day and the role of women in bringing about positive change in the world.
To mark this occasion Reuters has created a slideshow of women from across the globe, living in extraordinary times.

Finally Fixed!

Friday, March 5th, 2010

After a very long time, i'm finally back! It's been such a hassle the fact that my pretty host had been down for almost 3 months, believe me, it was so frustrating not being able to access to your site, even more when you use it as a helping tool for your school work, anyway i'm so happy today is up and running o.k.
To be completely honest, aside from the host being down, i would have hardly had the time to post every now and then, not because i didn't want, but because all this 'back to school' and the 'starting with Gastroenterology' situation was kind of stressing, and not long after it (finally!) ended, we went for our hospital practices, wich wasn't that demanding, but it sure was time absorbing, in conclusion, there was way to update.
But hey, i'm already reporting back to you and hoping to post frequently, promise I'll tell you how were my 'guardias', 'kay?
So I say goodbye and see you around!

So, 2010 is finally here -for a couple of days now- and we are all getting ready for the year, with school, work, etc... or maybe not yet, but you will eventually, anyway, what i would like to say is: start this year with posittive thoughts, no matter how bad looking it has been told us it might be, all depends in the kind of thinking you put up everything. One good way is being prepared, it gives you some little more security and to help a little too for those who can't come sooner, i'm leaving a schedule for the start of the next semester (5th) that you can check here. Putting the stressing back to school, i have something to make it a little bit enjoyable, if it is not for you, it's a music CD with some good R&B songs for this 2010 wich I personally liked. Medical Sofware for all of us

I know it's still summer and all, so why would I want to talk about research papers? True, it's not the most exciting of topics at this time of the year, but unfortunately it's what many scholars around the world are working on right now. You may have a deadline and the important thing is to reach it with your paper completed, so I've found this cool program, for Windows -although it is also available for Mac OS X and Linux- that will help you out so you can be on time for that:
Mendeley

Although you'll probably find less specialized applications on Mac than on Windows, I've noticed some excellent applications that not only help you handle your references, but also search and organize your papers and journals. For those of you looking for quality Mac applications to help you out on your research paper, here is a look at the applications:
Sente
Papers
Personally I am using Papaers and it's been a great help to organiza all my .pdf's and I even use it for searching. It has this iTunes-like interface and you can search through dozens of specified search engines for scholars such as ACS Portal or Citeseer. The multi-tabbed option is great to keep more than one journals open at once and you have quick access to discussion panels from the right of the interface.
But it is all up to you, choose wichever you want and start organizing that paper junk.

The last one...

Wednesday, October 21th, 2009

Ok, last time I updated was many, many months ago -i know, i know i've been unattending the site for quite a while- but good news and bad news.
First the bad ones -i always prefer getting done with the bad ones first: this week i'm starting with Pathophysiology, the fearsome one considered by many. And it sure looks like it, we're at the very beggining of the course and they put us with looots of work... Yep, here i leave the Program of the classes and study guide that i made (below a preview). Not way better buy much, much preetier, yes.
Anyway, didn't want to discourage you, so now with the good news. Yes, ok, they put us with tons of homework, but we have some really, really great help with this: some good notes from grupo 13! So here they are.
